The Grief Recovery Process
Loss is one of the most
difficult things to cope with in our lives.
Working through grief may be some of the hardest work you have ever done
Unfortunately you are the only one that can carry the burden of this
loss. The straps on this pack only
fit your shoulders, but my hope is to create a safe place where you can embrace
your grief experience and express it safely.
As your Coach, I will help you accomplish this work of mourning in a
healthier way.
There is no
easier or harder when it comes to grief.
Its limits will coincide with yours.
However much pain you can tolerate, that is how much it is going to hurt.
Although most everyone experiences loss in their life, the emotional and
practical process of recovery is always a new and thoroughly confusing
experience.
Every family and
individual is unique and every grief process different.
There is no set course for recovery; yet, many people do share certain
common reactions and may pass through similar stages during the process of
healing after loss.
A Loss Recovery
Coach, or Grief Recovery Coach, can help an individual avoid becoming tied to certain patterns that can
slow or stop the healing process.
A
Coach can help you understand what to expect, what is and is not considered
normal and can help make the period of grief and loss easier to endure.
Far too many
people view grief as something to be overcome rather than something to be
endured.
The hard fact is that
moving towards the pain is the only way to facilitate healing and growth.
When forced to confront the death of someone loved, you must become an
active participant in your own healing.
The spectrum of emotions this process pushes us through can seem
daunting, but you do not have to be left alone to your own resources.
Grief Recovery Coaching
Working with a Coach who understands how to express these emotions in a nondestructive manner is the safest path to becoming centered and regaining peace of mind once again. You will learn to deal with the uncertainty of moving forward while creating a new identity for yourself.
The sense of loss can certainly be overwhelming for you as well as the people
closest to you. Everyone needs
social support to get through these times.
Sometimes the people surrounding you are unable to emotionally support
you effectively. Getting
professional help is not an admission of weakness.
It is a demonstration of courage and fortitude.
Grief shared is grief diminished.
My job as your
Coach is to decrease your recovery time and smooth the edges of the transition.
Achieving proper closure to your loss is grueling to say the least, but
to attempt it alone can seem unbearable.
In a Coaching
environment, you are not a patient.
I understand that everyone mourns in different ways and therefore I will
not try to determine where you should be in the grief process.
Ill allow you to be naturally where you are.
The grief process is an unpredictable experience.
I make every effort to take on a teach me attitude with my clients to
avoid any form of judgment.
As you are
making peace with the transition, I will work with you to begin re-building a
rich, fulfilling life.
A search for
meaning may only be found in making a strong commitment to life rather than
looking back to death.
Others before you have gone on to re-build their life and create a stable home
environment by working with a Coach.
I know that balance and harmony are possible and I know I can help you
get there. Lets start the healing
today.
